01What is an escape room?+
An escape room is a team experience inside a themed environment. Your group explores the room, connects clues and solves a sequence of puzzles to complete a mission before time runs out.
02Are the Calgary escape rooms good for beginners?+
Yes. No previous escape-room experience or special knowledge is required. Compare each room’s theme, difficulty and age guidance to choose a comfortable starting point.
03What happens if our team gets stuck?+
Your game host is there to help, and every team can ask for unlimited hints. Use as many or as few as you want while you play.
04Are games private?+
Yes. Every game is private for your booking. Your group will not be paired with other players.
05Can a group be larger than the recommended player count?+
Possibly. Physical rooms have a suggested maximum of six players, but a larger team may be possible with advance approval. VR rooms have a hard maximum of four players. Call the location before booking so the team can confirm the right setup.
06Can I walk in?+
Yes. Same-day bookings and walk-ins are accepted when space is available. Evening walk-ins are not guaranteed because the store may close early when no games are booked. Book online or call ahead to secure a time.
07What makes Calgary escape rooms different?+
Calgary physical rooms combine cinematic stories with responsive technology, immersive effects and hands-on puzzles. The team’s actions uncover the next part of the adventure.
08How many people can play?+
Calgary physical rooms are commonly planned for two to six players, and a larger physical-room team may be possible with advance approval. VR rooms have a hard maximum of four players.
09How long is an escape room?+
Calgary physical escape-room adventures run for 60 minutes. Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled game for check-in and instructions.
10Can children play?+
Yes. Age guidance varies by room and is displayed on every physical-room card. Children under six enter free. Each child younger than six must be accompanied by one adult, with one adult for every child under six. Do not add the under-six child as a participant during online booking; include the accompanying adult and all other participants.
11How do I choose the right Calgary room?+
Compare the story category, difficulty, player count and age guidance shown on each room card. The Calgary location page identifies family-friendly, suspenseful, fantasy and puzzle-forward options.
12How much does an escape room cost?+
Calgary physical and cooperative VR escape rooms cost $35 per player plus GST. There are no booking or processing fees.
13How do I book Xperience Games Calgary?+

Xperience Games Calgary is located at 400 28 Street NE in Calgary, Alberta.
15When should we arrive?+
Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled game. If you arrive late, you can still play the full game when no booking follows yours. If another group is booked afterward, your game ends at its originally scheduled time.
16What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?+
Reservations are not prepaid online. If your plans change, please cancel or contact our Calgary team as early as possible so other players have a chance to book that time. You may reschedule at any time with no fee. If you do not cancel and do not show up, we may restrict your future bookings.
17Are phones, photos and videos allowed?+
Yes. Phones, photography and video are allowed inside the Calgary rooms. There are no lockers, so you may bring personal belongings such as valuables and jackets into the room or leave them in your vehicle—the choice is yours.
18Can we bring food or drinks into the room?+
Food is not allowed inside an escape room. Only non-alcoholic beverages in closed bottles are allowed; cups, cans and other non-bottled drinks must stay outside.
19Are the games private?+
Yes. Every booking is private, and no unrelated players will be added to your group.
20Can we change the number of players?+
Yes. Players may be added or removed and the price will be adjusted. Players can pay before or after the game, and split payments are accepted.
21What payment methods are accepted?+
Calgary accepts credit cards including Visa and Mastercard, as well as cash. American Express is not accepted. Payment may be made before or after the game, and split payments are available.
22What should we wear?+
Casual clothing is suitable and there are no special clothing restrictions.
23Is alcohol allowed?+
No. Alcohol is not allowed in the store.
24What happens if we do not finish?+
The Calgary team can provide a free walkthrough and explain the remaining solutions if your team wants one.
25Is parking available?+
Yes. Free parking is available in the lot outside the Calgary store, 24 hours a day.
26Are the rooms wheelchair accessible?+
Yes. The Calgary entrance, every game area and every puzzle are wheelchair accessible. The venue also has accessible parking stalls and a wheelchair-accessible washroom. Service dogs are welcome.
27Are there jump scares or live actors?+
No Calgary room uses live actors or jump scares, and players are never physically locked in. Rooms use cinematic darkness, sound, video, animatronics and flashing lights, but additional lighting can be turned on and the experience can be customized for the group.
